About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to join a growing supply chain team. This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities to support manufacturing operations, ensuring the timely availability of materials, equipment, and services required for business continuity. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives and support ongoing digital transformation projects.

Key Reponsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle for production materials, consumables, spare parts, equipment, and operational services.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, quality, delivery performance, and service levels.
• Generate and manage purchase orders while ensuring timely follow-up and supplier fulfilment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing priorities and operational requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to ensure material availability while maintaining healthy stock levels.
• Support inventory management initiatives, stock optimisation efforts, and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement data within the company's ERP system.
• Participate in system enhancement and process improvement initiatives to strengthen procurement and supply chain efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and smooth operational execution.
• Support supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance monitoring activities.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience procuring raw materials, consumables, spare parts, machinery, or production-related items.
• Proficient in ERP systems, with prior involvement in ERP implementation or Power User responsibilities considered an added advantage.
• Good understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, supplier management, and material planning.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
• Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, with Mandarin proficiency required to communicate effectively with suppliers in China.
• Analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
